"America is an idea, not a country." -- When "principled conservative" has become that looney '60s-ish, it's definitely time to shake up the entire Right wing in this COUNTRY. That's Trump-Pence 2016.
Of course, the truth is that these people are nothing but the "Conservative Entertainment Complex," dedicated to the proposition that making a buck off of conservative anger, no matter the cost to the COUNTRY, is a higher value than actually resolving that anger by solving the problems. Whatever motivated Cruz to finally do the right thing, may it have the necessary effect on the effort to save the COUNTRY--something at least a little bit more important than our personal incomes and, indeed, every little policy preference.

This list is definitive and I will choose only from it in picking future Justices of the United States Supreme Court.

Keith Blackwell is a justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia. He was appointed to the position in 2012. He had previously served on the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Before serving on the bench, Justice Blackwell was a Deputy Special Attorney General of the State of Georgia, an Assistant District Attorney in Cobb County, and a commercial litigator in private practice. Justice Blackwell is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law.

I give mine a minute at least if I'm running an errand. If going to work, it's ALWAYS at least five--usually ten--minutes before leaving. We have a ritual: Turn off lights (there's still enough to see), turn on radio so she'll have noise while I'm gone, jingle keys as a signal I'm leaving, and say a prayer for her peace and safety. Noah probably doesn’t know it, but he just accidentally made an airtight case against gun-free zones in particular and gun control in general. He is 100 percent correct: people hell-bent on murdering as many people as possible don’t really care about silly signs or laws that tell them not to murder people. A sign that says “No Guns” will no more keep a violent jihadi from gunning down a bunch of innocent people than will a sign that says “Muslims Get Out.” And how do we know that gun-free zones, nearly always marked with signs designating them as such, don’t deter murderous psychopaths? Because mass shootings, rather than happening at gun ranges or in gun stores, keep happening in gun-free zones.
