THE DAILY FUDD: E204: "Task & Purpose VIDEO: 'US Army OFFICIALLY HAS A NEW PRIMARY WEAPON.'"

MY COMMENT :  6.8 SIG ammo is lighter due to composite construction, mitigating any necessity for reducing ammo carry. U.S. tactics long ago moved away from a lot of full-auto by riflemen, mitigating recoil and lower mag capacity. Longer range is good even without the scope against an area target. And the power goes to penetrating armor. 6.8 does itself split a difference--between 5.56 and 7.62, that is. The funny part of the 6.8 SIG, though: All those people who jumped the gun, departed from NATO standard and common North American calibers, and invested in 6.8 SPC are left holding the bag. Examination of "nazi" use -- ARTICLE: "Why Russia thought its 'Nazi' claims would be convincing - analysis" (with brilliant commentary).

LINK HERE. Adapted from a comment to the great Clare Lopez on her Facebook posting of this article: Clare Lopez , you in the past have made the point of some on the Right not understanding the Left-Right distinction, and thus seeing Nazis and Communists as essentially the same thing. Thus, we have conservative pundits taking Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism" title not as the ironic descriptive of tactics it was intended to be, but rather as a literal, almost banal, statement of fact. (Granted, some know better, but they say such things because their Teabrained following doesn't.) So now we see some of these supporting Russia in the current conflict, with NWO-type charges leveled against the Ukrainian regime. Pull up a link or two in the vast labyrinth that is international dealings, point out a policy or two that departs from their dogmatic and often quite parochial "reservation," and let the Russians throw the "nazi' (or "Nazi") charge in, a...

Barely on topic (guy has a cat), but potential for more (grist for a special-operative story): MUSIC VIDEO: "Glenn Frey - You Belong To The City."

So much story can be built around this: Special NY operative for MAGA/Trump Organization, with large .45 under his jacket. Plus, even as is the guy has a cat. It's NYC, so his gun collection even in the '80s was probably limited, but I can still ID. [EDIT 2025: Just kill the smoking and put the guy in the restaurant section of the bar so we can still be carrying.]

FINALLY: Another cat cartoon.

THE DAILY FUDD: E:203: "Genuine stupidity from a supposed 'gun writer' -- Even the readers know he's an idiot."

Image
LINK (if you must) This article on gunsamerica.com was written by a writer for Guns and Ammo--and is hilariously stupid. He discredits SPORTS as a clearing technique, then calls for basically the same procedures. He complains about using the term "jam": “First, don’t call a weapon malfunction a jam. Jam is something you put on toast and if you use that term to refer to a malfunction, you are labeling yourself as a novice. So do yourself a favor.” Truly, I was going to simply address this ignorant rejection of SPORTS, but the whole article and all brought out by the comments makes that almost a nitpick. It's ridiculous. One commenter put it well: And so, I limited my comment (still under moderation) to this: ("Ass" is highlighted because that's the word I used to find my comment.) But I must include one full screenshot of his stupidity. Note the highlighted term. IT'S CALLED A "STOVEPIPE"! But the comment at the beginning may be the best. It...
