THE DAILY FUDD: E150: "Video on what calibers to stockpile -- not half bad, technically."

Image
MY INITIAL COMMENT: My Five before I watch this video: 1. 9mm Luger/Parabellum/NATO (note that +P is higher power than recommended for some arms of this caliber). 2. .223 (note that 5.56mm NATO is higher power than recommended for some arms of this caliber). 3. 7.62mm NATO (note that .308 Winchester is higher power than recommended for some arms of this caliber). 4. A .45, be it ACP or LC, for symbolic and heritage reasons. 5. .410 for shotgun advantages in smaller package to enable more ammo carry and use in .45/.410 revolvers (see 4) (note that 3-inch shells won't function is some arms of this gauge). BONUS: .38 Special/.357 Magnum -- Have .357-capable arm, but stockpile .38. Always go with NATO standard and common calibers. Let's see if you got it right. MY REPLY TO MY COMMENT ABOVE AFTER WATCHING VIDEO: I figured you'd say .22. Clever not-so-encrypted reasonings. While having some is good, truly stockpiling it is unnecessary. Better use for money. Wrong on 6.5....

THE DAILY FUDD: E149: "YouTuber needs to learn most civilians aren't perfectionist gun nuts, nor is perfection practical (subject: "micro 9mm's")."

My two comments: 1.   Your concerns go with ANY small, readily-concealable pistol. Hate to break this to you, but most people can't readily carry large-frame pistols. That's reality, bud. As for practice, that's a choice. Most people aren't gun nuts like us, and so don't shoot more than they need to. 2. You're missing the point of a "micro 9m m" (though your vid is really just about small handguns, period). Its real value is the use of the ubiquitous military standard caliber for resupply and interoperability in a concealable package . Whatever drawbacks, it will shoot and is generally better than nothing. Perfection is the evil of good enough. Personally, I've long held ALL servicemen/women should be issued something like that--or perhaps allowed a personal arm within parameters--as ECW and field backup to primary arm. Something small wouldn't add much weight to a soldier's load. Plus, it's just an American thing to do. TDF INDEX:  C...

Excellent news in the one area I break Left politically: VIDEO/ARTICLE: "Pittsburgh City Council votes to ban cat declawing."

Pittsburgh City Council votes to ban cat declawing (wtae.com) PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh City Council moved forward with a plan to ban the declawing of cats in the city Tuesday. Council voted in favor of the plan to ban declawing, unless medically necessary. Experts who spoke in front of City Council said the procedure requires a veterinarian to amputate bones in a cat's paws. Violators who are caught declawing a cat for any other reason could face up to a $500 fine. It can cause pain, as well as behavioral and health issues. The ordinance now heads to Mayor Bill Peduto's desk.

BLM has killed any motivation to address any legitimate grievances those folks might have ever had at some point.

From an American Indian: "The Hated White Race."

Original full version may be gone forever. This snippit is from controversial American Renaissance. The Hated White Race - American Renaissance (amren.com) The Hated White Race David Yeagley, Bad Eagle: The Rantings of a Conservative Comanche, June 16, 2009 “Fifty years from now, there won’t even be any white people!” said my pathological Middle Eastern neighbor. He knew I was an American Indian, and he expected me to dance in his vision. I didn’t. I found his attitude, and that of his angry black wife, repulsive. I don’t appreciate being presumed upon or being dictated to in any matter, especially in the matter of race. Nobody tells this Indian how to think. I’m free to like and dislike whomever I please, for whatever reasons I choose. My two neighbors were racists, obviously. And they were making me a victim of their racism. Because I was non-white, they presumed I was a natural partner in their resentment and animosity toward the white race. I was judged by the color of my skin, so ...
