According to an AP story (below), "A senior Pentagon official apologized Friday to Washington-area Muslims for the burning of Qurans…" Not just once, but multiple times. One of those apologized to was Mohamed Magid, president of ISNA (Islamic Society of North America).
Scroll to the end of the article below and you'll be shocked to learn that one Muslim interviewed did not believe the latest apology was sufficient. No amount of groveling will satisfy, so enough already! Peter Lavoy, acting assistant secretary of defense for Asia and Pacific security affairs, said the military is investigating what occurred and that all 140,000 coalition troops in Afghanistan are being retrained in the handling of religious materials. Lavoy apologized multiple times during a brief speech during prayer services at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, one of the largest mosques in the country. "I come here today to apologize on behalf of the Department of Defense for the incident that took place in Afghanistan this week," Lavoy told worshippers, saying the burnings were done "unknowingly and improperly." Lavoy's remarks at the suburban Washington mosque follow protests across Afghanistan over the burning of several Qurans at a U.S. military base. Military officials say at least 20 people have died in the protests, including two U.S. soldiers. Imam Mohamed Magid, executive director of the ADAMS Center mosque and president of the Islamic Society of North America, said Friday's session was designed to let Muslims around the world know that American Muslims were also concerned about the incident but were able to express those concerns and receive an apology and promise of a thorough investigation without resorting to violence. "It was very satisfying, very heartwarming to hear an apology three times in one speech," Magid said after the services. Magid said Muslims across the world are rightfully concerned and upset to hear that Qurans were burned in a careless manner. But he said that "absolutely the violence we have seen is unacceptable from an Islamic perspective." Magid said the Pentagon reached out to him and other Muslim leaders earlier this week, and he went to the Pentagon on Thursday to meet with officials, who offered to come to his mosque and speak directly to its members. "As American Muslims we engage with our government and we hold them accountable if something goes wrong," Magid told nearly 1,000 worshippers during midday services. Lavoy did not take questions from worshippers or reporters after Friday's speech. Not everyone who heard Lavoy's speech was satisfied. Mauri Saalakhan of Silver Spring, Md., who operates the Peace Thru Justice Foundation and came to ADAMS Center to hear Lavoy's remarks, said that an apology is helpful but insufficient. He said he simply does not believe that the Qurans were mistakenly burned and that the burnings of the Quran are relatively minor compared to the suffering that has been inflicted on the Afghan people as a result of the war.

You might think making Catholic hospitals pay for birth control is a threat to your "freedom." But America and the Roman Catholic Church will survive if Catholics screw around more than most already do. But here below you have a foreign theo-political construct waging war against us with our own laws. That should render Islam itself a sedition and justify putting Muslims under special restrictions, including requiring any lawsuit filed by or on behalf of a Muslim interest be pre-approved by a state or federal judicial panel. It would be comparable to the State Department reviewing foreign weapons sales proposals (or for liberals, the Justice Department reviewing election law change proposals in certain southern states.)

Several points:
Since when is it a judge's job to explain Islam from the bench?
"Alleged victim"? Standard use now is to say "alleged perpetrator," but NOT "alleged victim".
"Ethnic intimidation"? Islam is a religion--well, actually, a theo-political construct threatening America and the West--not an ethnicity.
Gut instinct: The judge is a closet Muslim playing Taqiyya over his slip. "Manchurian judiciary".

Muslim judge practicing Taqiyya--denies his faith -- From ACT! for America: PA judge frees Muslim attacker!
My assessment:
Taqiyya is the Islamic doctrine that permits any lie to non-Muslims necessary to forward Jihad. This judge has probably been applying it in the past, and now is trying to cover up his slip.
(Interesting, I must admit. Finally our culture of do-gooding is coming in handy. Having been brought up in a civilized culture, the judge found it too difficult to keep up his lie.)
If this proves correct, my "Manchurian Judiciary" label will prove amazingly accurate.

Ernest Perce told The Daily Caller that Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim man, "grabbed me, choked me from the back, and spun me around to try to get my sign off that was wrapped around my neck." Elbayomy reportedly admitted to a police officer, Sgt. Bryan Curtis, that he attempted to rip Perce's fake beard off, remove his "Muhammed of Islam" sign and choke him. Perce said he believes Elbayomy thought it was illegal in the United States to insult Muhammad, as it is in countries whose governments are based on Sharia law. Last week Judge Mark Martin sided with Perce's attacker, saying in open court that Perce would be put to death in Muslim societies for showing disrespect to Muhammad. The judge dismissed the charges against Elbayomy. "You're way outside your boundaries of First Amendment rights," the judge said during the trial. "Martin's decision effectively says that Muslims do not have to learn to accept blasphemy against their religion without violence." Perce told TheDC. "Yet when you are a citizen of the USA, you accept our Constitution. Free speech is our foundation." (RELATED: Judge dismisses charges against Muslim man who attacked atheist dress as 'Zombie Muhammad') The same judge is also threatening Perce with contempt of court for making and sharing a recording of the courtroom hearing. Listen to the courtroom proceedings:  Perce says he has received 471 threats against his life in the short time since his attacker was acquitted. "People have said that they would kill me, rip my eyes out, run me over, shoot me and then laugh at me, since I have blasphemed Muhammad," he told TheDC. "They say I will be found out and hung in front of my family." During his trial, Talaag Elbayomy claimed he never made physical contact with Perce, creating what Judge Martin called a he-said/she-said situation. Sgt. Curtis testified that Perce's version of events was correct, but the judge ignored his testimony. Judge Martin also refused to allow a video taken the night of the attack to be entered as evidence. Perce told TheDC that he believes Martin did not allow the video to be shown in his courtroom because he "would be offended." In fact, Martin told Perce during the proceedings that "I'm a Muslim" and "I find it offensive." Perce says Martin held a copy of the Quran while admonishing him for disrespecting Muhammad with his costume. (Judge Martin has since denied being a Muslim.) Martin's threat of contempt charges came after Perce posted his own audio recording of the proceedings on YouTube. Perce says the judge initially gave him permission to release it, but the court later instructed him to erase it. He told TheDC that he wrote to Bonnie Snyder, administrative secretary of the Cumberland County District Court in Pennsylvania, explaining that "Judge Martin gave both parties the right/permission to record the proceeding on our cellular devices." Snyder denied this. "Are you instructing me via Judge Martin to destroy or delete and not use my audio recording?" he asked. "Yes, since you were not authorized to make any recordings," Snyder replied. Perce said Judge Martin told him, "I will hold you in contempt of court under section 42 of the Judicial System" if he didn't remove the audio from YouTube. "He denies this now," said Perce, "but this is what he told me."
