This phenomenon stands to show why "freedom of speech" as it is today simply does not work.  The Left--that is, those "enlightened" mentality--will always be able to impress a censorship on society in general.  Thus, for a society to survive, it must learn to silence the overall voice of the Left, and limit "free speech" to discussions of specific issues, with a respect for tradition and an eye toward defeating national enemies.  Freedom does no good if it destroys ones people.  Libertarians need to have this lesson of higher values pounded into them, or else they in their selfish ignorance will destroy us all.
