| *** MISSOURI INFORMATION ALERT! *** AMERICAN LAWS FOR AMERICAN COURTS LEGISLATION ADDRESSED IN NEW VIDEO Kelly Cook, National Field Director Dear Lee, As you know, we have been working very hard along with our Missouri grassroots on American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) legislation, so that Missourians' constitutional rights are protected from foreign laws or legal doctrines where the application of those laws/doctrines would violate those constitutional rights. Representative Paul Curtman is the sponsor of the ALAC bill in the House (HB1512) and Senator Brian Nieves is the sponsor in the Senate (SB676). Over the last few weeks, we have seen tremendous progress in both the House and Senate regarding American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) legislation. Thank you for all that you've done and please keep up the great work to get the word out about these bills and to have as many people as possible register their support with the Missouri legislature! The further the ALAC proposals move through the legislative process, the more opponents like the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) spread falsehoods about the bills. The American Public Policy Alliance (APPA), who has been working with us to see ALAC legislation passed all across our nation, recently put together a video that demonstrates—and responds to—CAIR's false accusations about the Missouri ALAC legislation.
