The conservative, pro-Tea Party PJTV has the Left-Right distinction correct. Dumbas..., ur, conservatives, so often get mad at me when I point out the correct definition in political science for the spectrum, which places Nazism/Fascism on the Right, while Communism is on the Left. The dumb..., ur, people, tell me that both are on the Left, because both are authoritarian. They are obsessed with individualism and personal "freedom," and thus cannot and will not understand that the spectrum is defined not by "liberty," but rather the role of natural and traditional factors and power structures (e.g., race, nation, family, religion, etc.).

PLEASE PASS THIS TO YOUR GRASSROOTS CONSERVATIVE FRIENDS... you know, the types who think Congress passed "dat dere Roe V. Wade law" and that it goes against where the Constitution says that "all men are created equal." Use it to help explain to them the true, political-science definition of the spectrum, and thus help them understand that the people who've taught them otherwise are uneducated fools who need to just be quiet and let the thinking people explain things to them.

PS: I disagree with the host's conclusion that Europe must unite. Quite the opposite, respect for their different base nationalities is crucial to stemming the tide of the Left. Cooperation is good, especially in facing down the sheetheads, but unification is both unrealistic and dangerous.
