Here are the four speakers we have confirmed thus far.

Clare Lopez

Clare Lopez is a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on national defense, Islam, Iran, and counterterrorism issues. Currently a senior fellow at the Center for Security Policy and the Clarion Fund and vice president of the Intelligence Summit, she formerly was a career operations officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, a professor at the Centre for Counterintelligence and Security Studies, and Executive Director of the Iran Policy Committee from 2005-2006. She is co-author/editor of the Center for Security Policy's Team B II study, "Shariah: The Threat to America." We at ACT! for America regard this study so highly we use it to train our staff.

Kenneth Timmerman

Best-selling author Kenneth R. Timmerman has spent his career investigating the dark side of national security. Over the past three decades he has interviewed dissidents behind the Iron Curtain, covered numerous Middle East wars and false-hope peace treaties, interviewed suicide bombers, debriefed defectors from Iranian intelligence organizatons, and covered the plight of Christians persecuted for their faith.

His most recent work of non-fiction, Shadow Warriors: Traitors, Saboteurs, and the Party of Surrender, exposes a secret intelligence war, fought not against our enemies abroad, but by partisan bureaucrats and their allies in Congress and the media against a sitting United States president.

For his work in exposing the Islamic Republic of Iran's nuclear weapons program, he was nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize by former Swedish deputy Prime Minister Per Ahlmark.

R. James Woolsey

Mr. Woolsey previously served in the U.S. Government on five different occasions, where he held Presidential appointments in two Republican and two Democratic administrations, most recently (1993-95) as Director of Central Intelligence.

During his 12 years of government service, in addition to heading the CIA and the Intelligence Community, Mr. Woolsey was: Ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), Vienna, 1989–1991; Under Secretary of the Navy, 1977–1979; andGeneral Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, 1970–1973.

He serves on the National Commission on Energy Policy and is currently Co-Chairman of the Committee on the Present Danger. He has also been a member of The National Commission on Terrorism, 1999–2000; and The Commission to Assess the Ballistic Missile Threat to the U.S. (Rumsfeld Commission), 1998.

Dr. Tawfik Hamid

Dr. Tawfik Hamid is an Islamic thinker and reformer, and one time Islamic extremist from Egypt. He was a member of a terrorist Islamic organization JI with Dr. Ayman Al-Zawaherri, who is now the leader of Al-Qaeda. Some twenty-five years ago, he recognized the threat of Radical Islam and the need for a reformation based upon modern peaceful interpretations of classical Islamic core texts.

He has appeared on shows spanning the spectrum from CNN to Fox News, and his articles and op-ed pieces have appeared in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Daily News, and the Jerusalem Post. Dr. Hamid's exceptional knowledge of the jihadi mindset has led him to be a guest speaker at many reputable private and governmental forums.

Currently Dr. Hamid is a Senior Fellow and Chair for the Study of Islamic Radicalism at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies and he is the author of Inside Jihad: Understanding and Confronting Radical Islam.
