(Yes, Zambian "afronauts") History Debunked video: "An African space programme" -- With comparison to India: No need for guilt over imperialism.

THE DAILY FUDD: E197: "VIDEO: '6 LIES about the AR-15 told by each side' -- Plus TDF analysis and dissentions.

YouTube thumbnail -- video below.

I don't necessarily agree with some of the editorializing, but it's good to point out errors coming from BOTH sides.

TDF caveats:

A. Regarding "machine guns" in Pro-Gun Lie #3:

1. To say they are "banned" is a matter of perspective, given the 1986 Hughes Amendment freeze on civilian-ownable ones, but he makes a severe point.
2. See TDF 10 for an historical perspective on full auto and 2A.
3. A better lie to expose would have been the libertarian/individualist distortion of "resistance to tyranny" and the 2A "militia. See TDF 12 and TDF 26 respectively.

B. The AR15 was originally designed as civilian hunting rifle. (He should know this.)

C. He needs to work on parsing and couching his phrasing. He needs to learn about Heller's "M16s and the like" phrase and be more narrowly tailored in his legitimate comparison of the AR15 and M16.

And of course, I must remind the reader of TDF's view of a better alternative for the civilian 2A Militia:

Dasha of Russia reacts to "Starship Troopers," and actually spots the agenda (a bit soft on it, though) -- Also, info about her tops.

I suspect she's done more research than she lets on, but even so she's smarter than a lot of Teabrain-types and actually sees the agenda of the movie.

MY COMMENT: "Ma'am, you're a bit of a softie, but at least you can see the movie's agenda. But just because you understand it doesn't mean you have to agree with it."

Also, a commenter said she'd moved to Canada. If that's the case, then a depressed Russian economy isn't the reason behind her size-too-small tops.

The lesson to remember in 2025 (if not, perhaps, before).

‘Red Dawn’ hits Ukraine after destroyed Russian armor gets tagged with ‘Wolverines’

Life imitates art. For recent proof of this centuries-old maxim, look no further than this photo of an abandoned Russian infantry fighting vehicle in Ukraine with the word  “Wolverines” scrawled on the side in white spray paint in an apparent homage to the 1984 Cold War-era action flick “Red Dawn.”

The photo was shared to Twitter on Thursday in response to a tweet by NPR’s White House correspondent, Scott Detrow, who wrote that “We were driving too fast to get a clear picture – but we just drove past a destroyed Russian tank with WOLVERINES spraypainted across it.” Fortunately, Oleg Tolmachev, the head of production for Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz, had seen the exact same thing and snapped a photo of it.
