Trump has been pro-2A for decades. He was, though, influenced by his NY background for a long time.

Problem with ideologues is that they become dogmatists. They judge not based on intent, effect, or sentiment, but on adherence to an orthodoxy.

Trump banned bump stocks because they effectively create full-auto fire. I have elsewhere made an originalist argument that would preclude full-auto from 2A protection. I've also raised ideas which, while not serving self-indulgent desires of some, would actually make intent of 2A--efficacy of civilian Militia--stronger, and probably more legally secure.

Perhaps you think all that makes me not pro-2A. Yet, in reality my ideas make RKBA something MORE sustainable today. My aim goes beyond 2A, in fact. It is to see an armed citizenry, not simply a citizenry with a right to own guns.

Truth is, Trump is the most pro-2A GOP POTUS since Teddy Roosevelt. He's learned to depart from some problematic stances, and he stood strong after Parkland. Be objective.

Price jump in crisis situations supposedly makes people only buy what they need, leaving some for others. It has its weaknesses to say the least, but it's the nature of our economic system. An alternative would be a government-directed rationing system--so much ammo per family based on size, nature, caliber, and need. MY COMMENT : (VIDEO WAS SPONSORED BY A COMPANY SELLING SUCH GEAR.) Non-vet civilians will never (legitimately) be running fire-and-maneuver calling for all that gear. In a real and legitimate Militia situation they will be fire support, set-position defense, and logistics. A simple mag pack is quite sufficient. Beyond that, anything much more than a pack or such for evacuating in a disaster is a hobby at best and a delusion at worst. I'm a vet. I served in a combat zone. I have a vest, CamelBak, and pack which I acquired during my service, and keep solely to be able to quickly bug out of town in a disaster, be it on foot or in an official evac vehicle with limited space. To non-vet LARPers: Buy what you want. Support this guy's sponsor. But keep in mind you are NOT the same as veterans. You lack the training and DISCIPLINE that veterans had drilled into them.
