Op-Ed: My take on Trump's immigration speech tonight (with video link)

Op-Ed: Trump's immigration speech tonight faced really one issue--dealing with peaceable illegals.  His short-term plan deals with them much as my plan would, in that if a Hispanic family hides Uncle Paco in the basement, he'll probably stay, while cousin Raoul will be taken out by law enforcement or Second Amendment while he's knocking over a liquor store.  His only shift, which could reasonably be considered a realistic fact, is that those slipping through all the efforts will be dealt with later.  Personally, I still call for "Operation Rawhide: 'Head'em up! Move'm out!'" but we can't get everything, and he is being realistic.

Why This Ammo Shortage Is Different - YouTube MY COMMENT : It goes to how capitalism rations supplies. Price jump in crisis situations supposedly makes people only buy what they need, leaving some for others. It has its weaknesses to say the least, but it's the nature of our economic system. An alternative would be a government-directed rationing system--so much ammo per family based on size, nature, caliber, and need. MY COMMENT : (VIDEO WAS SPONSORED BY A COMPANY SELLING SUCH GEAR.) Non-vet civilians will never (legitimately) be running fire-and-maneuver calling for all that gear. In a real and legitimate Militia situation they will be fire support, set-position defense, and logistics. A simple mag pack is quite sufficient. Beyond that, anything much more than a pack or such for evacuating in a disaster is a hobby at best and a delusion at worst. I'm a vet. I served in a combat zone. I have a vest, CamelBak, and pack which I acquired during my service, and keep solely to be able to quickly bug out of town in a disaster, be it on foot or in an official evac vehicle with limited space. To non-vet LARPers: Buy what you want. Support this guy's sponsor. But keep in mind you are NOT the same as veterans. You lack the training and DISCIPLINE that veterans had drilled into them.
