The points about giving out details is right. BUT, at 9:00 the problem with those who wanted to wait in announcing is that THE BAD GUYS KNEW INSTANTANEOUSLY what happened! No doubt it was going out over enemy commo nets while the shooting was still going on. With all due respect to those expressing this concern, they are forgetting the effect of modern technology.
Claiming credit immediately was the right thing to do. It's called "propaganda." It's called "gloating." That was a good thing.
