I have changed my view on restraining public Islam. Based in part on this video, I now believe that only as an individual conscience and private individual devotion should Islam be tolerated. No Muslim organizations should be allowed, and any public gatherings should be allowed only on special, rare occasions with special permission, and then subject to intense monitoring. The model provided by the example of Allied treatment of Shintoism in Japan during the post-World War II occupation would be quite useful, albeit insufficient.
