"Allen West: Honor In Iraq" (YouTube link, with comments from Facebook post)

via Rodger Wayne Evans: I have loved this guy every since this story came out. He was disciplined, when he should have been decorated and promoted.

"If it's about the lives of my men and their safety, I'd go through Hell with a gasoline can . . . There is not a person in this room I would not sacrifice my life for." -Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Allen B. West

Tim Gray Palin-West 2012!

There are only two problems with that:

1. West's lack of political experience. He has never elected to statewide office, and for all the anti-incumbent talk, people don't really mean it (you'll see in a couple of weeks).

2. The Identity politics. By 2012 a predominately White--actually, just simply non-Black--ticket will do far better against Obongo. An American Indian VP would be interesting and might work, using a "The two races that created America" approach. One Black conservative caller to Laura Ingraham's show, and one of the few who didn't vote for their Messiah in 2008, noted, "It took 240 years to get our first Black President. With him, it could be another 240 years before we get another one."

No matter how favorable to us the situation will be in 2012, we must work to maximize advantage. A female President will be, honestly, enough of an issue. A Black VP, even LTC West, would nullify the Identity advantage the Great Black Hope is handing the conservative/Right. He would cost us far more votes than he would gain.
